Letter to my dear friend

In the endless depths of tonight's solitude,

I closed my eyes and see your ever so loving smile

a smile of glee 

a smile of friendship

a smile that that brightens my day to bliss

Days cruised and weeks soared,

Attached am I now to you

My dear friend, my sanctuary,

In this lonely place I rest;

A new home to me, a new redemption

And on this sacrificial altar,

Words are lost, mind is numbed,

I’m confused and desperate

To be up there, up where

You stood in grace, gracefully waiting

For what I do not know of,

But shall I be there in no time,

To be another helping hand for a dear friend,

So find me, hold my hand

And walk with me up there

To the top of this prominence, together

Déjà vu, when all troubles are lost

And our minds are set,

Outstanding, outrageous

Standing stable, starring strong

Then shall the time come;

Time, an essence lost, now found,

Time where we shall part,

And look back, cherishing

The ever supporting friendship

Where you and I,

Struggled through

All the pain for gain,

To rise unstoppably

And become a star ajar in the sky

So find me, hold my hand

And walk with me up there

And soon there shall be,

Us, in the sky, my dear friend
