Every time you said you love me,
I welcomed a lively crowd of butterflies in me.
Every time I made you cry,
I feel a thousand javelins pierced through me.
A simple act of torture that remarkably emblazed a never-fading scar,
Reminding me of my sins,
A simple trace of silent screams my soul salutes solitude on the solitary altar
That stood ever yet strong on the remains of my broken heart.
A sinking ship was I, amidst the great depths
Of the cold and vacant sea,
Where you and I once sailed in bliss,
But now, all lost in monumental chasm
Though long lost in the tides of time,
The sweet savor of your lips,
Always fresh, always reminiscent,
Awakens this forlorn soul
To greet the butterflies I’ve solemnly
Been longing for with grace of hope
Whence time came,
You reentered, and with your angelic power,
Resurrected me, revived me, returned me from the death I call friend.
With the saccharine scent of your presence,
I once again, feel the exact same feeling,
When I first fell in love with you
Once again, the butterflies sprang to life,
Freely and lovable,
In my stomach as love,
Blooms as flowers of spring,
Blossoms of passion, unleashed,
I am now on the tides of the sea we once sailed in bliss
As words run short, I’m here to say
That “you are my love,”
And your presence in my life,
A sacred flawless blessing di Dio.
